Paballo Ya Batho Paballo Ya Batho (Caring for People) serves homeless and destitute people in the inner city of Johannesburg. We are a volunteer-led organisation.

Paballo has a soup kitchen every Wednesday evening on a street in the Newtown area. Here, we give out soup and bread to men, women and children. As additional needs were identified, our work expanded to include:

*Feeding people once a week;
*Medical Care;
*Providing blankets and clothing;
*Spiritual care and counseling;
*Help getting passports and ID's;
*Helping people return home

FEEDING SCHEME

Goal: To listen, assist & feed homeless and destitute people every Wednesday night in the inner city of Johannesburg.

This is a journey towards dignity. Besides assisting by providing a hot nutritious meal, the focus of Wednesday night outreach is to recognise the dignity of the people in their environment and to affirm their worth and offer solidarity.

Paballo Ya Batho strives to strengthen the unity of people who are homeless and destitute and to lobby for their basic human rights.
