The Tiso Foundation and Verdure Fund are partnering to tackle South Africa’s engineering skills gap and fast track transformation in the sector. Verdure will fund a five year Undergraduate Bursary Programme starting in 2026 that will support black South African students with at least 50% women pursuing Electrical Engineering degrees, beginning with a first cohort of four students and comprehensive support covering tuition, accommodation, stipends, laptops, mentorship, career workshops, and psychosocial services. This R1.15 million commitment, escalating annually, invests in people who will design and build a sustainable, nature-positive energy future for our country.
