Princess Alice Adoption Home We envision a future where every child is safe, nurtured and empowered. We are also a place of safety for pregnant girls who are destitute or in crisis.

Princess Alice Adoption Home (located in the leafy suburb of Westcliff, Johannesburg) provides 24 hour residential care in a happy, stimulating and healthy environment for up to 30 babies and toddlers until they are placed in permanent families. A professional team are supported by an active volunteer programme.

Every child deserves a family. Every adoption story is different. But at the heart of each one is a child who deserves the opportunity to grow up safe, loved and cared for. At Princess Alice we’re privileged to walk alongside children and families during some of the most important transitions of their lives.

What does adoption actually look like? ❤️

For many people, the thought of adoption begins with a simple question: “Where do I even start?”

Adoption is a big decision; one that comes with excitement, questions, paperwork, preparation and a few nerves along the way. The adoption process in South Africa is carefully structured to make sure that children are placed in families who are ready and able to provide them with the love, safety, stability and lifelong care they deserve.

What happens after you decide that adoption might be right for your family? What are the steps? Who do you speak to? What assessments are involved? And how does the matching process work? We’ve put together this guide to walk you through the process and give you a clearer idea of what to expect.

Winter is coming, and we are trying to keep every child in our home warm this season ❤️

We currently care for approximately 25 beautiful children between the ages of newborn and 5. Many are in need of warm winter clothing such as:

🧥 Tracksuits
🧦 Socks
🧢 Beanies
👟 Shoes
🛏 Blankets

We would love to partner with a community-minded business or sponsor who could help us provide warmth, comfort, and dignity to the children this winter.
