Fight with Insight is a project of the Box Office Gym, which was started by Luke Lamprecht and Anton Gilmore.

Fight with Insight is a Boxing Project & Inner City Community Program in the heart of Joburg using boxing to create a safe space for the youth teaching children skills to claim their rights Anton, who runs the programme, is an ex pro boxer, trainer and promoter, with over 20 years first hand experience of the impact that boxing has in the lives of youth in the Southern Suburbs of Rosettenville. Lu

ke has 20 years experience in the child protection and development field and works with many Non-Profit Organisations. Anton and Luke are supported by Sheri Errington, a researcher with Non-Profit Monitoring and Evaluation experience. This project was formally started and continues to operate primarily as a result of the generous financial assistance provided by the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and is a member of the International Fight for Peace Alumni. VISION & MISSION:

Fight with Insight was established in the city with the vision of creating a safe place for the children of Johannesburg, using boxing to teach them life skills that assist them in taking responsibility for claiming their rights. Boxing is used as a method to teach children the skills to claim their rights and be champions for life. This is achieved by empowering children to respect themselves and others through the 4 main principles of the programme: 1) First impressions 2) Consequence to action 3) Compassion and 4) Moving forward positively. Such principles are integrated into the boxing and life skills components of the weekly sessions.

We swapped the boxing gloves for mops and trash bags today at the Children’s Memorial Institute. Coaches, our incredible young people along with volunteering schools and organisations pitched in for a massive cleanup leaving the building a lot brighter than we found it!

What a truly amazing year it has been for the entire Fight With Insight family! Our Year-End Prize Giving was a beautiful celebration of the incredible journey we’ve shared.

Seeing our team, coaches, youth leaders, and dedicated participants celebrating a year full of bonding, learning, and immense accomplishments fills our hearts with pride. Every punch thrown, every lesson learned, and every challenge overcome has made this year so special.

A massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our incredible partners, funders, and every single person who contributed their time, resources, and passion. Your unwavering belief in our mission is what makes this successful and beautiful year possible. We could not do this without you!

And that’s a wrap on junior’s year! 🥳 Our little ones closed out with an incredible children’s party filled with non-stop fun, dancing, singing, and pure enjoyment.

The ring became a platform for change at our MENtal Health Sparring Tournament. We witnessed aspiring boxers - from young to our oldest - step up to showcase the incredible skills they have honed throughout the year.

But this wasn’t just about the physical sparring, it was about the mental battle. We moved past the conversation and turned awareness into action, proving that discipline, community and support are the ultimate defence.

We had a blast this past Sat hosting two awesome workshops: A T-shirt painting session for our younger groups and a fashion design workshop for our teens!

It was all about using repurposed clothing and materials to express incredible creative ideas in preparation for our upcoming youth conference and fashion show on November 29, 2025.
