On 12 September, HACHAC Foundation had the privilege of attending the ET Radebe Sports Tournament as part of the ongoing working relationship between HACHAC Foundation and ET Radebe.

We appreciate the invitation and the opportunity to continue strengthening this partnership through community engagement, sport and youth development.

We look forward to building on this relationship and creating more opportunities for collaboration in the future.

On 4 September, HACHAC Foundation brought creativity to life through our Cloud Art event with the wonderful children from Oarabile Daycare.

The day was filled with imagination, colour and hands-on creativity as the little ones explored art in a fun and engaging environment.

We love creating spaces where children can express themselves, discover their creativity and simply enjoy being children.

A big thank you to Oarabile Daycare for welcoming us and to everyone who helped make the day special.

At HACHAC, we believe that every child deserves an opportunity to create, explore and dream.

ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY

Learners are required to attend Academy classes every Saturday, except in the event of an emergency or unavoidable circumstance.

The Academy follows a structured programme, and consistent attendance is essential for learners to fully participate in the activities and development opportunities.

Selected programmes and activities will also take place during school holidays.

WE HAVE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED HACHAC FOUNDATION IN ROSEBANK.

Today marks a very special milestone for HACHAC Foundation as we officially launched our presence in Rosebank in partnership with Rosebank Library.

What started as an idea has now become another physical space where HACHAC can grow, connect with communities and create opportunities for young people.

Through today’s Discovery Day, we had the opportunity to introduce people to who we are, what we do and the programmes we are building across leadership, technology, art, creativity, debate, chess, sports, reading, changemaking and more.

This launch is not just about having another location. It is about expanding our reach, creating new connections and making our programmes accessible to more young people.

A special thank you to Rosebank Library for opening its doors to us and for partnering with us as we begin this new chapter.

HACHAC Foundation is officially in Rosebank.

And this is only the beginning.

To mark this new chapter, we are hosting HACHAC Discovery Day — an opportunity for the Rosebank community to meet HACHAC, discover our programmes and learn more about the work we are building with and for young people.

From 6 years old and up, visitors will have the opportunity to explore programmes across leadership, technology, art, creativity, chess, debate, sports, reading, changemaking and more.

This is more than an introduction. It is the beginning of HACHAC’s presence in Rosebank and an opportunity to build a new community around learning, creativity, leadership and possibility.

PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY

Before today’s Eco Purpose Workshop could begin, there was plenty of work happening behind the scenes at the Hachac Foundation Centre.

From setting up the space and preparing activities to getting everything ready for our participants and speakers, our team and learnership participants put in the work to make today possible.

Great events don't just happen — they are built through teamwork, preparation and people who are willing to make things happen.

SPORTS DAY AT HACHAC FOUNDATION

Every Friday at Hachac Foundation is Sports Day, giving our young people an opportunity to get active, have fun, build teamwork and develop discipline through sport.

Yesterday was another exciting Friday filled with games, movement, teamwork and plenty of energy. Our young people continue to show us that sport is not only about competition, but also about building confidence, friendships and a strong sense of community.

Another Friday well spent at Hachac Foundation.

Today, the Hachac Foundation Centre became a space for learning, reflection and action as we hosted our Eco Purpose Workshop, focused on sustainability and environmental responsibility.

The workshop was organised by our Hachac Foundation Learnership participants, Lungile, Nthabiseng, Bokang and Tshiamiso, who took the initiative to bring an important conversation to our centre. Through the workshop, participants explored what sustainability means, why environmental responsibility matters, and how young people can contribute to creating a better and more sustainable future within their communities.

We are especially proud to see our learnership participants stepping beyond the classroom and taking ownership of initiatives that create meaningful learning experiences for others. These are the kinds of opportunities that allow young people to develop confidence, leadership, teamwork and practical skills while making a difference.

A sincere thank you to our speakers, Sizwe, Mosibudi and Musa, for coming through and sharing their knowledge, experiences and perspectives with our participants. Your contribution helped make the workshop a valuable and engaging experience.

At Hachac Foundation, we believe that learning should go beyond textbooks. It should inspire young people to think differently, take initiative and become active changemakers in their communities.

Today was another step towards building a generation that understands that sustainability is not just a conversation about the environment, but a responsibility we all share.
