Another step forward. Another skill gained. Another reason to celebrate! 🎓💜

We are so proud of our participants who have completed their training at the Johannesburg Dream Center and received their certificates! 👏

Every certificate represents more than completing a course — it represents commitment, growth, new skills and a step towards greater opportunity and independence.

At JDC, we believe that lasting change happens when people are given the opportunity to develop practical skills, build confidence and take meaningful steps towards employment and a better future.

Congratulations to each of our graduates! We are incredibly proud of you and excited to see where these new skills will take you. 🌱

A huge thank you to everyone who gives their time, skills and resources to make opportunities like these possible.

Together, we are empowering people to build brighter futures. 💜

# # # 🎄 ONE SHOEBOX. ONE CHILD. ONE VERY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS. ❤️

Christmas should be a time of excitement, joy and feeling remembered. But for many children growing up in poverty across Johannesburg, a Christmas gift simply isn’t something their family can afford.

**This year, you can change that for one child.**

Johannesburg Dream Center is once again collecting **Christmas Shoeboxes**, filled with thoughtful little gifts and essentials for children and teenagers in need. Our Christmas Shoebox Project is part of JDC’s longer-term work focused on bringing hope to young people. :chatgpt-content-reference{index="0"}

🎁 **Will you pledge ONE shoebox?**

Choose an age group:
**0–2 | 2–5 | 5–10 | 10–13 | 13–18 years**

Then choose **Girl, Boy or Unisex** and fill a gift-wrapped shoebox with:

🧴 Toiletries
🧸 An age-appropriate toy or gift
✏️ Stationery
🍬 Sweets
❤️ And anything extra you think would make them smile!

**Value: approximately R200–R250 per box.**

📅 **Shoeboxes must reach us by 30 November 2026.**

Last year, hundreds of shoeboxes were collected and distributed — and this year we want to reach even more children. 🎄❤️ JDC’s records show **1,216 Christmas Shoeboxes collected and distributed between December 2022 and 2025.** :chatgpt-content-reference{index="1"}

**👉 COMMENT “I’M IN” below if you’ll pledge a box.**
Better yet, **tag a friend, colleague or company** and challenge them to do one too!

Companies, schools, churches and teams are welcome to run a **Shoebox Collection Drive** with us.

**You may never meet the child who opens your box — but you can make sure they know that this Christmas, someone thought of them. ❤️**

🇿🇦 HAPPY HERITAGE DAY, SOUTH AFRICA! 🇿🇦

Today we celebrate the beautiful diversity of the people who make our country home. Different cultures. Different languages. Different stories. One South Africa. ❤️

At Johannesburg Dream Center, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to build a better future — and that when we use what we have to lift someone else, we strengthen our communities together.

Our heritage is not only where we come from.
It’s also the legacy we choose to leave behind.

Today, may we celebrate who we are, honour where we come from, and continue building a South Africa filled with kindness, compassion, belonging and opportunity.

💙 Together, we are changing the atmosphere of Johannesburg.

Happy Heritage Day! 🇿🇦
