It was a great honour to meet with Cardinal Brislin. During the meeting, our team had the opportunity to present our educational project, share some of our latest developments, and introduce our advocacy booklets containing stories from the families in our community.

We are deeply grateful for his support of our mission and work, as well as his continued solidarity with migrant communities.

A one-of-a-kind experience out of the city! 🌿✨

Our Grade 4 and Grade 5 students recently headed off on an unforgettable two-day adventure camp at Sediba Kwele Adventure Camp, filled with excitement, teamwork, laughter, and plenty of challenges. From obstacle courses and ziplining to swimming, night marches, team games, and outdoor activities, every moment was packed with fun and new experiences.

The camp gave our children the chance to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and create memories they will carry with them for years to come. It will definitely be one of the highlights of 2026 for both our students and our team.

A huge thank you to Derek Lubner for making this incredible opportunity possible for our children 💛

Special visitors at the project! ✨

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming two representatives from the Foundation for Human Rights to spend time with us. From chatting with our children to engaging with our team, they took the time to truly listen, learn more about our community, and better understand both the challenges we face and the passion behind our work.

Thank you for your interest, support, and for being part of the journey with us.

🎥 Spotlight on Refugee Education

We are incredibly grateful to the wonderful team at Injini - Africa's EdTech Accelerator & Think Tank for spending the day with us to gain a deeper understanding of the work we do and the realities faced in classrooms made up of refugee and migrant children.

A special thank you to our teacher, Precious, for sharing so openly and honestly about her own journey as a refugee and as an educator teaching refugee and migrant children. Her story is a powerful reminder of the resilience, strength, and importance of inclusive education.

Thank you, Injini, for helping shine a light on these important stories that are often overlooked.

The right to education is at the heart of the Marist mission, especially for disadvantaged children.

At Three2Six, we have proudly lived out this mission every day for the past 18 years thanks to the support of funders such as Terre des Hommes . Inspired by Marist values, we believe every child deserves access to quality education that supports their development, unlocks their potential, and enables them to become active members of society.

In South Africa, the right to education is protected by the Constitution and supported by education laws, including the South African Schools Act and the BELA Act.

The barriers preventing migrant children from accessing education are neither inevitable nor acceptable. Governments, institutions, and school communities all have a role to play in removing them. We call for urgent, coordinated action to ensure that every child in South Africa can access their right to education—without discrimination or delay.

If you believe in the Marist commitment to education, dignity, and solidarity with vulnerable children, support our work by donating, partnering with us, or sharing this message.

Just before the start of Term 2, our teachers attended Six Bricks training and from the very first day back at school, they’ve been using these fun, hands-on tools and techniques in their classrooms! 🧱✨

The training focused on learning through play, helping educators support learners’ cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in creative and inclusive ways — making learning more interactive and meaningful for every child.

A special thank you to Care for Education for providing this incredibly valuable training opportunity for our teachers. 🌈📚

Peer support goes a long way 💙

We’re grateful to a group of boys from St David's Marist Inanda School for visiting some of our alumni at their new school to provide homework support. Their time, encouragement, and willingness to help are making a real difference.

Term 2 is officially underway! 🎉

Our students and teachers returned to the project yesterday full of excitement, energy, and big smiles as we kicked off a brand new term together. There was lots of joy in reconnecting with friends, catching up after the break, and settling back into the classroom together. We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and walking this journey side by side.

Wishing all our students, staff, and families a successful and inspiring Term 2 ahead! 🌟📚

Finding your path is not always easy—especially for migrant and refugee youth, who often face ongoing exclusion. Last month, we held an alumni dialogue session facilitated by TimiaAfrica Npo, creating a space for reflection and conversation. We are grateful to our partner for supporting our alumni in exploring their strengths, goals, opportunities, and the barriers they face, as well as how to respond to adversity.

This three-session process helps them take an active role in shaping their own journeys.
