MARIA CALLAS AMONG FINALISTS FOR EUROPE'S NEW €5 BANKNOTE 💶 🇪🇺🇬🇷

Maria Callas, one of the greatest opera legends of all time, could soon become one of the new faces of the euro.

The legendary Greek soprano has been selected as one of the featured personalities in the European Central Bank's finalist proposals for the next generation of €5 banknotes, part of the "European Culture" theme. The ECB recently unveiled the shortlisted designs and invited citizens across Europe to take part in a public consultation before the final design is chosen.

If selected, Maria Callas would be honored on one of Europe's most recognizable symbols, celebrating her extraordinary artistic legacy, her lasting influence on opera, and Greece's remarkable contribution to European culture and the arts.
