It is with great pleasure that SchoolNet South Africa announces the appointment of three exceptional new Board members who bring more than six decades of combined experience across public sector governance, ICT leadership, and human capital development.

Esther Letlape: An award-winning businesswoman, corporate executive, and human capital expert committed to youth development, mentorship, and building vital corporate partnerships.

Dr Joe Khosa: An IT professional, PhD holder in Engineering Management, and Head of IT Infrastructure at Legal Aid South Africa, bringing national-scale technology and digital innovation leadership.

Fatima Rawjee: A governance and education leadership specialist with extensive public sector and independent school governance experience, bringing expertise in policy frameworks, accountability, and financial stewardship.

We are thrilled to welcome Esther, Joe, and Fatima to the Board and look forward to the profound contribution they will make to our mission of advancing education in South Africa through the meaningful use of technology!

Today is World Read Aloud Day 2026, and at SchoolNet SA, we are turning up the volume on literacy!

This year’s theme is “Celebrate Learning,” and we are doing exactly that. Did you know that reading aloud is not just for bedtime? It is a superpower for the brain. It builds neural pathways that boost emotional health, academic performance and creates those "aha!" moments that stay with a child forever.

Why we are making some noise today:
