Stritgrad Academy was privileged to participate in the Invest in Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2026 hosted by Young African Entrepreneurs Institute and its partners, bringing together stakeholders committed to advancing youth entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth across South Africa.

The conversations reinforced a reality we see daily in township and rural communities: access to funding, skills, mentorship, market opportunities, and strategic partnerships remains critical to the success of emerging entrepreneurs.

As StritGRAD, our contribution to this ecosystem extends beyond enterprise support. Through our impact measurement and community intelligence work, we help corporates, government, funders, and development partners make informed social investment decisions using evidence-based data and grassroots insights. We believe that meaningful impact is achieved when interventions are informed by real community needs and measured against tangible outcomes.

We remain committed to strengthening the bridge between investors, development partners, and underserved entrepreneurs, ensuring that youth-focused initiatives deliver measurable, sustainable, and inclusive socio-economic impact.

Late 2025, Stritgrad Academy, led by Joseph, began engagements with the Gauteng Dept of Community Safety (GCS) under the leadership of Director Margaret Mashiane—with collaboration now continuing on the ground.

At Green Door sites—safe spaces in underserved communities supporting victims of crime and violence—we engaged ambassadors and beneficiaries to understand real challenges.

We also met ambassadors and explored ways to support them beyond the stipend, especially those interested in entrepreneurship as an alternative economic pathway.

The focus remains: moving beyond healing to empowerment—through alternative income initiatives and economic reintegration beyond Ekhaya Lethemba.

Through partnerships with stakeholders such as Young African Entrepreneurs Institute (youth-focused) and AEDC (women-focused), we aim to connect beneficiaries to real opportunities, skills development, and sustainable livelihoods.
