Child sexual violence remains prevalent in Southern Africa, with many cases going unreported. It is challenging to obtain accurate statistics due to the hidden nature of the crime, cultural barriers, and the stigma surrounding it.

The African Women's Financial and Economic Inclusion (AW-FEI) Index places eight Southern African nations among the top ten, however, none of them has achieved gender equality. More work needs to be done to enable women to realize their potential at work and in businesses so they may become financially independent and contribute to the economy.

A Zimbabwean young chess champion Babongile, went to represent the country in the Fide World School Chess Championships held in Rhodhes, Greece. She did very well despite any parental guidance at the time due to unlimited funds. Providing resources and support for young girls who participate in sports is crucial for their success and well-being. By addressing the unique challenges and barriers that girls face, we can help empower them to reach their full potential and lead healthy and active lives.
