From bringing fresh colour to our spaces with a beautiful painting day, to sponsoring food for the children, your kindness and generosity mean so much to us. 🏠🍽️

It’s not just about the paint or the meals it’s about showing our children that their community cares, supports them, and believes in them. ❤️

Happy Women's Day 🌸

Today we celebrate the remarkable women who shape lives every single day.

This beautiful artwork was created by the children of St Mary's Children's Home as a tribute to the incredible women who love, guide, encourage and inspire them.

To the mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, caregivers, teachers, social workers, volunteers, staff members, donors and friends of St Mary's...

Thank you.

Some of your work is seen.

Much of it is not.

Like the roots of a tree, your love, kindness, courage and faithfulness run deep beneath the surface, giving others the strength to grow.

Today we honour every woman who chooses compassion over convenience, hope over despair, and love over recognition.

Pool Noodle Bumble Bee Stakes

Materials

Yellow pool noodle

Black tape

Wooden dowels

Googly eyes

Iridescent craft plastic or foam sheets

Hot glue gun

Scissors

Black marker

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the pool noodle into short sections to create the bee bodies.

Step 2

Wrap black tape around each section to make the bee stripes.

Step 3

Cut two wing shapes from iridescent plastic or foam for each bee.

Step 4

Glue the wings onto the top back of each bee body.

Step 5

Attach googly eyes and draw a smiling face with a black marker.

Step 6

Insert a wooden dowel into the bottom of each bee and secure it with hot glue.

Step 7

Place the finished bee stakes into flower pots or garden beds.

Tips

Use different wing sizes for variety.

Add extra glue around the dowel for stability.

Display several bees together for a cheerful garden decoration.
