I feel incredibly blessed and grateful to have received three 5-star reviews for my recent training with Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town, JNcQUOI House in Lisbon, and aboard the Kazazian Private Yacht on the Nile in Egypt.

For me, training is about far more than teaching standards and techniques. It is about inspiring people, building confidence, and helping hospitality professionals understand the difference they can make through genuine care, attention to detail, and exceptional service.

I will continue to strive for excellence, to teach with passion and purpose, and to uphold the highest standards wherever this journey takes me.

My sincere thanks to all the wonderful people and teams I have had the privilege of working with. Your trust, commitment, and enthusiasm mean more to me than any review.

As I sit with my daughter’s heart beat forever etched with ink on my hand I can only say thank you to God. This is my prayer to him, which sums up how I have gone from darkness to seeing light with his power, his strength and with his timing. Tomorrow is a GIFT so live in this present moment as that is all we have.

“Lord,

As an expression of what lives in our hearts, we simply want to say:

We love You. We adore You. We thank You for every breath, every blessing, and every moment You have given us. Guide our hearts to walk in Your truth, to live with kindness, humility, and faith, and to reflect Your love to everyone we meet.

A little miracle for me on my travels to Egypt…

I am training the staff onboard the luxury yacht, called Apex which sails up and down the Nile River, hosting wealthy guests.
I saw where they dock the yacht, that the banks near by was completely full of plastic pollution.

The owner Mr Armed has seen my Live Life Always website and as a gesture of kindness to me, he got the locals to cleanup the bank for me. I was completely lost for words and he promised me that they will continue to keep this bank clean throughout the year and educate the locals about trying to reduce plastic pollution.

I had the same feeling of joy and purpose, as I did while living and cleaning up Zanzibar.

Today was about table setups. I asked the team to come up with ideas for table settings and this one, was done looking onto the Nile River onboard the Arax yacht, which is part of the Kazazian Group.

Tonight was all about attention to the smallest details as I helped the team onboard the Kazazian Yacht prepare to welcome 12 guests for a special dinner.

Exceptional hospitality is never just about what we do — it’s about the care, thought and attention behind every detail of the guest experience.

Life in hospitality is not only about the details. It is about the heart behind those details. ❤️

This week in Lisbon, I have been sharing something I deeply believe will become increasingly important in our industry — The Heart of Hospitality.

As our world becomes faster, more digital and increasingly influenced by AI, genuine human connection becomes even more valuable.

We can teach standards, procedures, etiquette, anticipation and professional language. But exceptional hospitality also requires something deeper: emotional intelligence — the ability to notice, understand and respond to how another human being feels.

This young gentleman, Francisco Furtado, represents the future of what I have been trying to teach this week. Not simply how to provide excellent service, but how to make a guest feel something — welcomed, understood, remembered and genuinely cared for.

One thought sums it up beautifully:

“Service is black and white. Hospitality is colourful.”

Service is what we do.
Hospitality is how we make people feel.

I have loved being back in Lisbon and working with the JNcQUOI team. They truly inspire me with their commitment to service excellence and their willingness to keep growing.

May God bless Francisco and this wonderful JNcQUOI family on the journey ahead. May they never lose sight of the human heart behind hospitality. 🙏❤️
