Dear Friends,

I'm reaching out to ask you to kindly share our upcoming EXPATS SOSA MEDICAL CAMPAIGN, with family and friends living abroad.

The goal of the campaign is to reach out to expats living abroad to support SOSA Medical by donating and matching the amount we raised in last years campaign from our local community.

ABOUT THE SOSA MEDICAL PROJECT

Founded in 2019 by Rabbis Ari Hoppenstein and Shaun Wingrin, we sponsor basic medical aid and hospital plans for families who cannot afford monthly premiums.

Our Impact: We support over 100 families (150+ individuals) monthly, but our waiting list is growing. R2,500/month generally covers a basic hospital plan for one adult.

Our Reach: We step in during crisis medical emergencies, assist community members in public hospitals, and run a Kosher Hospital Food Helpline to ensure patient dignity and nourishment.

Twenty-five years ago, a split second changed everything for Jose and Tracey Ribeiro. A horrific car accident left Jose a quadriplegic and Tracey - with four small children - was faced with an unimaginable new reality.

Instead of yielding to despair, they leaned into Emunah (faith). Tracey chose then that they would be a "normal family," defined not by their tragedy, but by their resilience. Even today, they continue to give back, with Tracey serving as a dedicated Hatzolah Dispatcher.
