We were painting the town RED, BLACK & ORANGE — we turned the streets into a runway!

Our kids were serving looks like serious models, rocking their new uniform. They ate and left no crumbs — serious model energy!

Our throwback continues! ✨ 06.07.2026...🤗

At Phoenix Alexandra we love spoiling our kids! 🎂🐦‍🔥🔥🐦‍🔥🎁

We missed June birthdays because there was no contribution period, so in July we doubled up and celebrated at McDonald's, Louis Botha.

Not all parents were able to pay, but we still made sure NO kid was left behind.

That's the Phoenix way — we rise above and make it happen anyway. And we did!

The birthday girl and boy got McDonald's branded shoes and everyone got their own McDonald's shades! 😎

Even with the jungle gym out of order, the joy was everywhere.

Thanks for a wonderful time at McDonald's South Africa

Congratulations to the team and to our founder for coming through and never giving up on these kids.

This is what we do. 🤍🧡🖤🍟🤍🧡🖤

Another Throwback to 18 JULY 2026 | MANDELA DAY WITH PHOENIX ALEXANDRA

What a special day. Unlike our other events, this one was all about motivation.

Phoenix Alexandra invited professionals born and bred in Alexandra — including a dentist, an author and a pilot — to speak to our kids and remind them that no dream is too big.

You can come from Alexandra and still become anything you want to be.

We also spoke about the importance of respecting teachers, because education remains one of the easiest roads to success, even though it is not the only one.

Our Phoenix Alexandra kids gave us a beautiful performance that made us all proud.

A special thank you to Dineo Sithole for the invitation, collaboration and for making the day
such a good one.
We appreciate you!

Thank you to everyone who came, queued and supported from the balcony.

Today we celebrate our Founder & CEO. 🫶🏾💐🥳🫂🫶🏾

6 years of leadership, trust, jokes, fire & love. You built more than an org — you built a home of safety & growth.

As you exit the youth era, we honour you. Gomora loves you.

Today we celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child.✨ 🫶🏾🤍🧡🖤🫶🏾✨

When we started Phoenix Alexandra in 2020, a lot of boys thought this was only for girls. Only one boy joined us. For a long time, he was the only gentleman in the house.

But this post is for the young girls who made Phoenix what it is. The ones who showed up, who stayed, who led.

We have been able to get boys to join because we need them too, but today — today is for our girls.

Thank you for making Phoenix Alexandra your home. 🐦‍🔥🐦‍🔥🐦‍🔥

Of safety, of growth, of anything that you think and believe you need. Thank you for trusting us.

What a beautiful Mandela Day throwback we had at Phoenix Alexandra! 🐦‍🔥🖤🧡🤍🐦‍🔥

A HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to WOOLWORTHS and to the amazing team that came through — Your kindness we will never forget. 🙏

You gave us more than 67 minutes — you came in the morning and stayed until about 4 o'clock, cooking, serving, and spending the entire day with us. You fed not just the kids, but the community and our team too. Thank you so so much! 🍲❤️

Your support went so much further:

🛒 Groceries for our feeding scheme that carried us for over 3 months — we didn't have to worry about food.
🔥 Gas heater that helped us with our electricity outreach for 4-5 months.
🍳 A new gas stove that helps us cook quicker and keep time at all our events.
🍲 Two huge pots — amazing!
👕 Boxes of clothing that we shared with community members, whether they are part of Phoenix or not.

Your contribution to our work and your kindness will never ever go unforgotten. Thank you!

Special shout out to Zanele Mntambo who scouted us and reached out to us — thank you for believing in our work.

Throwback to 17 July 2026 💛⚽

A special day to remember — our two amazing girls graduating from the SKILLZ Girl programme with Grassroot Soccer!

Thank you to Grassroot Soccer Alexandra for inviting us to be a part of the fun.

From starting on the 9th July to graduating with certificates and Banyana Banyana T-shirts on the 17th July, they made us so proud!

Empowering girls with life skills, health & confidence in a safe space.

Still proud of our queens! 👑🎓

Showing up for yourself IS power. 💻✨

Today at Sandton Library for the Digital Literacy Workshop - "Knowledge, Power and Justice: The Transformative Role of Libraries"

We keep telling our young people: You have to understand the power you hold simply by SHOWING UP for yourself. By walking into that room. By learning that one new skill. By choosing to do your own thing.

Nobody can define who you are until you do the work to understand who you are FOR YOURSELF.

Thank you to Mr. Kabelo Kgomoeswana for pouring into us today and to City of Joburg Libraries for this platform. Knowledge really is power.

Phoenix Alexandra was in the building! 💚🤍🧡🖤
