A Call to Help a Mom in Need

It’s not often that we focus on helping just one person—but this time, we had to.

We met a mother who is struggling, yet doing everything she can for her little boy. As moms (and dads), we know the heartbreak of not being able to meet even the most basic needs. So, we’re stepping in—and we’re asking for your help too.

We’re collecting school essentials for her 6-year-old son:

• School shoes , size 10
• School shirts ages 5-6 / 6-7 years old
• School pants ages 5-6 / 6-7 years old
• School bag
• School jersey (valued at R350)

We’ll be running this drive for two weeks, with the handover planned for March 29/30, so her little cub is ready for the new season!

At iLanga Lethu Toy Drive, we believe that giving back is about more than just meeting immediate needs—it’s about fueling imagination, sparking creativity, and cultivating dreams. That’s why we don’t just collect toys; we provide books, arts & crafts materials, and other tools that inspire young minds to dream beyond their circumstances.

This year, we’re extending that mission by supporting the Teen Vision Board Workshop & Nibbles Experience—a space designed to help teens pause, reflect, and gain clarity about their future.

Through this initiative, we’re raising funds to send teens from our network to this transformative experience, where they’ll set goals, connect with like-minded peers, and step into a space where their dreams feel possible.

Kindly assist us by bringing your preloved goodies when you attend Just Breathe, or by dropping off your donations at HP Stores in Sandton, Menlyn, or Cresta Mall. Together, we can help someone breathe a little easier and fill our community with a little bit of extra joy and hope. 💕

A few Saturdays ago, through your support we hosted a successful Vision board workshop and lunch.
For ex matriculants that are currently at home.

We talked dreams, goals, plans for the new year, their aspirations and so much more!
