To everyone who donated towards our blanket drive at the beginning of winter, thank you!
With the help of Rotary Club of Maseru, some of our blankets went to a community recently impacted by fires.

Collaborative efforts between clubs is one of Rotary's greatest strengths: together, we are more than the sum of our parts.

Our Rotary Club President, Ann Hope-Bailie, recently had the pleasure of inducting the new Interact Executive Committee for Highlands North Boys High School. ๐Ÿ‘

Through Interact - Rotary's service club for youth - these young men now have the privilege and responsibility to serve their community through major impactful projects. ๐ŸŒ

This hands-on experience provides them with invaluable, real-world exposure to true leadership, teamwork, and community impact.

We are incredibly excited to support their journey and look forward to seeing the incredible things this dynamic committee will achieve over the next year! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŽ“

Please join us in congratulating the new Interact Executive Committee in the comments below! ๐Ÿ‘‡

We love to see the impact Rotary makes and unites our members across the globe! ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒ
A few weeks ago, we welcomed our guest, Mvaiwa, at our Friday Meeting - all the way from Lingadzi Rotary Club, Lilongwe Malawi!
Mvaiwa shared a brief overview of the wonderful work Lingadzi Rotary Club is doing, as well as more information about Rotary in Malawi.

89 children have been empowered with mobility and comfort, as they were gifted custom-fitted buggies. A massive Thank You to our Rosebank Rotarians who were involved in this initiative. ๐Ÿ’ซ
Before, many of these children had to be carried on the backs of their caregivers, or confined indoors.
You have restored dignity, enabled movement and independence to many young people, while also helping their caregivers. ๐Ÿ™Œ

It's Madiba Day ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆโœŠ

Every year on this day, we're reminded to give 67 minutes of our time: one for every year he spent in service. But this year, we want to ask a different question.

Instead of asking for 67 minutes, we're asking you to reflect on a lifetime:

What does Madiba Day mean to you, and how has his legacy shown up in your own life?

Maybe it's the neighbourhood you live in, the school your kids go to, the friendships you have.
Maybe it's a value your family passed down: ubuntu, and the belief that one person's choices can shape our nation's future.

We'd love to hear from you! Add your story and let us know.

Last week one of our new members, Kim Brink, presented at our Friday Meeting.
She spoke about sustainability and long term impacts of projects - and the fundamental question, "What happens when we leave?"

Her talk explored how good intentions alone aren't enough (or can backfire) and how frameworks like the UN Sustainable Development Goals help turn well-meaning projects into lasting impact.

A great reminder to always plan not just for the start of a project, but for what comes after we've gone. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿค

Hyvรคsti, Hilla! Farewell, Hilla! ๐Ÿ‘‹
Last Friday's Rotary Club meeting was equal parts heartwarming and bittersweet, with all five of our exchange students in the room.
Hilla wrapped up her year in South Africa on Rotary Youth Exchange with a wonderful presentation of everything she got up to - from hikes and camps to touch rugby and diving into school life. It's been a joy watching her embrace a new culture so fully.

Hilla, safe travels back to Finland. We're so glad to have witnessed your wonderful journey!

Benvenuta, Ilaria! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น
We also welcomed Ilaria on her very first day in South Africa from Italy.
We hope hearing about Hilla's incredible year gave you a taste of the adventure ahead!
