Warming Winter - Changing Lives - Making a Real Difference
For some of us of us 2014 began with a drink, a fresh coat of paint and a new outlook. For others it began without dignity, shelter or any sense of hope. With more than 800 000 homeless, displaced and disadvantaged citizens in Johannesburg and temperatures that drop drastically in the winter, they are faced with harsh conditions and often
desperate circumstances. Interact RDT realized the need for action and started the Jerseys4Jozi Initiative in 2013 as a way for their team and clients to become involved in active community building. This is the perfect example of how businesses can add heart to what they do and widen their purpose beyond products and profits. It is a way to show what you believe in, and lead those around you by example. Each jersey is designed to be both fashionable and practical. They are not only essential, but for many, will be the first new item of clothing they have ever owned, something that has a deep impact on their pride and sense of self-worth. Through our hoodies we are able to uplift local co-ops and provide employment and sustainable growth. Help us achieve our goal to find ways to help displaced people find their way back into society and encouraging them to take ownership and restoring their sense of dignity and belonging. Together we can uplift those who need it most and build pride in our beautiful city. We need your help to reach more people and touch more lives.
