Youth Day 2026 | Empowering Young People Through Skills Development πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

Today, as we commemorate Youth Day, we honour the courage, resilience, and determination of the young people of 1976 whose sacrifices secured the freedom we enjoy today.

While political freedom has been achieved, the next phase of our journey is economic freedom. Through skills development, education, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities, we can empower young people to become active participants in the economy and agents of change in their communities.

As a Skills Development NPO, we remain committed to equipping youth with practical skills that open doors to sustainable livelihoods and economic independence.

"True freedom is not only the right to dream, but also the opportunity to achieve those dreams."

Happy Youth Day, South Africa! πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦βœ¨

Today we proudly celebrated World Mother Earth Day at Tshebedisano Primary School πŸŒπŸ’š

A big thank you to our generous sponsors, Seriti and the City of Johannesburg, for making this meaningful day possible. Together with learners, educators, and community members, we planted seeds of awareness, responsibility, and care for our environment.

As part of our commitment to a cleaner and greener school, three waste dustbins were donated to support proper waste management and encourage responsible disposal practices among learners. In addition, five trees were donated and planted to help protect and sustain our environment for future generations.

From tree planting to educational activities, the day was filled with inspiration and a shared commitment to protecting our planet.

Let’s continue working together to nurture and preserve Mother Earth β€” not just today, but every day 🌱✨

Today we mark World TB Day 🫁

Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases, but it is preventable, treatable, and curable. This day reminds us of the urgent need to end TB and protect the health of our communities.

πŸ“Œ TB is caused by bacteria that mainly affect the lungs, and it spreads through the air when a person with active TB coughs or sneezes.
πŸ“Œ Millions of people are still affected every year, yet many cases go undiagnosed or untreated.

Let’s raise awareness, break the stigma, and support those affected:

βœ… Know the symptoms: persistent cough (lasting more than 2 weeks), chest pain, coughing up blood, fever, night sweats, and weight loss
βœ… Get tested early – early detection saves lives
βœ… TB treatment is FREE in many public health facilities
βœ… Complete your full course of treatment to prevent drug-resistant TB
βœ… Support and care for those on treatment – no one should fight TB alone

πŸ’‘ Did you know? TB is closely linked to conditions like HIV, malnutrition, and overcrowding β€” which is why community support and strong health systems are essential.

Together, we can end TB. Together, we can save lives. πŸ’™
Let’s commit to a TB-free future.

We are proud to announce that MoAfrika has partnered with the Gauteng Department of Social Development to launch a Nutrition Development Centre in Tladi.
This initiative supports our community by providing a healthy daily meal to more than 250 beneficiaries in Tladi and the surrounding areas. Through this partnership, we aim to improve nutrition, uplift vulnerable members of our community, and ensure that no one goes hungry.
Our cooks have also received training to maintain proper hygiene standards, safe food preparation practices, and overall kitchen management to ensure that every meal is prepared in a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
Together, we are making a meaningful differenceβ€”one meal at a time. πŸ²πŸ’™

πŸŒβ™»οΈ Moafrika Waste Management Workshop at Pimville Primary School β™»οΈπŸŒ
Moafrika recently hosted an inspiring Waste Management Workshop at Pimville Primary School aimed at educating learners about the importance of keeping our environment clean and promoting clean air in our communities. 🌱
During the workshop, learners were taught practical ways to reduce waste, recycle responsibly, and understand how proper waste management helps protect the air we breathe. The session encouraged young minds to become environmental champions and take pride in keeping their school and community clean. 🏫✨
A big thank you to the educators and enthusiastic learners of Pimville Primary School for participating and showing commitment to a healthier, cleaner future. Together, we can build communities that value sustainability and clean air for everyone. πŸŒΏπŸ’š
