What an incredible day of changing lives!

This week, we had the absolute privilege of placing 43 pairs of spectacles into the hands of young learners across Early Childhood Development centres and seeing the smiles that came with them was something truly special.

Following vision screenings of 133 learners, more than 32% were identified as needing corrective lenses. Thanks to this initiative, those children can now head back into their classrooms with clearer vision, greater confidence and new opportunities to learn and thrive. One learner has also been referred for specialist care, ensuring they receive the support they need.

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. A simple pair of glasses has the power to unlock a child's potential, and we couldn't be more grateful to Vision For All for partnering with Impilo to make this possible.

Here's to brighter futures, one child at a time.

What an incredible day handing over glasses in Alexandra with Vision for all Mobile Eye Screening.

Across 3 ECD centres we handed out 43 glasses to 43 students. This is not just about glasses, this is about children now being able to see the board clearer, learn better and build confidence. It’s about clearer futures.

We are proud of the work we have been able to accomplish together & look forward to all that’s to come!

mple pair of glasses can make a world of difference, helping children learn, play and thrive with confidence.

After screening 133 young learners across our Early Childhood Development centres, we're excited to be handing over 43 pairs of spectacles on 23 July.

Every learner received a vision screening, with over 32% identified as needing corrective lenses. One learner has also been referred for specialist care, ensuring they receive the support they need.

Thank you to Vision For All for partnering with Impilo to help make brighter futures possible! 👓

this is the caption: We’re officially past the halfway mark of the year, and what an incredible journey it’s been so far.

From early childhood eye screenings to seeing children receive their first pair of glasses and experience the joy of clear vision.

From collecting 8,849 bras and creating a powerful exhibition, to seeing them placed into the hands of women who needed them most, is something we’ll never forget.

From equipping teachers through workshops to watching them leave feeling confident, inspired and ready to make a difference in the lives of their learners.

It’s been a year filled with purpose, impact and hope, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store

We are honoured!

💚 A Donation That Restores Dignity 💚

Siyabonga Care Village is incredibly grateful to the Impilo Collection Foundation and the EmpowerHer Campaign for their generous donation of bras to the women in our care.

A total of 106 bras were donated to Daisy Safehouse Shelter for Abused Women, helping vulnerable women who are rebuilding their lives after experiencing abuse.

We are also deeply thankful that both of Siyabonga's shelters received this wonderful donation, ensuring that more women can benefit from this act of kindness.

What makes this donation even more special is the inspiring story behind it.

The EmpowerHer Campaign was driven by the remarkable achievement of Angela Yeung, who summited Mount Everest in 2025, with every metre representing a bra collected for women in need. Each bra was donated, sorted, and packed by caring individuals who chose to make a difference.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful initiative.

Your generosity provides more than just essential items. It helps restore confidence, dignity, and hope to women on their journey toward healing.

💚 Thank you, Impilo Collection Foundation, EmpowerHer Campaign, Angela Yeung, and all the donors who made this possible.

One year ago, history was made! climbed 8,849 metres of Everest, calling for one bra donation for every metre climbed in support of women affected by GBV.

A year later, we look back not only on the climb itself, but on everything that followed, including an exhibition at Constitution Hill, people from all over coming together to make it happen, and now those bras being distributed to the very women we set out to support and raise awareness for.

As we reflect on the journey, we also celebrate all that has been achieved in the year since. From one climb came a movement of action, awareness, and community.
