This year Youth day ant just going to be political speeches but opportunities for young people.

50 years of youth day should be raising the next generation of leaders for the next 50 years and a decade from now we should point how young people of 2026 have become the leaders.

The process of turning vision into reality is extremely difficult. You typically envision things alone until they become a reality. This is a common dilemma for visionaries. Nevertheless, it is crucial to continue dreaming until it becomes a reality!

Today we celebrate Njabulo Vilakazi, one of the young people whose journey reminds us why the PMF Youth Expo exists.

Before attending the Expo in 2025, Njabulo was working part-time and looking for a way to grow, learn and move forward.

Through the PMF Youth Expo, he was exposed to new opportunities and is now enrolled in a Full Stack Learnership, gaining workplace experience in software development.

In his own words:
"Before attending the PMF Youth Expo, I was working part-time and looking for an opportunity to grow, learn new skills and gain experience in my chosen career path.

Attending the PMF Youth Expo opened a door for me. It gave me access to information, exposure and an opportunity that I may not have found on my own. Through the Expo, I was able to enter a Full Stack Development learnership and I am now gaining workplace experience in software development.

During my workplace experience, I am learning more about software development and how to build web applications. I have also gained important skills such as problem-solving, confidence and the ability to apply what I am learning in a real working environment.

This opportunity has helped me advance my skills and has given me a chance to gain valuable work experience. It has also made me more excited about my future and what is possible for me.

To another young person thinking about attending the PMF Youth Expo, I would say: attend. Opportunities like this do not come around every day, and it could be the start of something life-changing.

To the sponsors, companies and partners who support the PMF Youth Expo, I want to say thank you. Events like this are important because they help close the unemployment gap by giving young people access to real opportunities.
I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity I received."

Skip one dinner out. Change a life.

A dinner out for a family of four in South Africa can easily cost R800 to R1,500 once you include meals, drinks, dessert, a service tip and the little extras that come with an evening out.

That same amount could help open a door for a young person at the Pumeza Mngambi Foundation Youth Expo 2026.

A meal is gone in one evening.
But opportunity can stay with someone for life.

For many young people, access is the difference between feeling forgotten and feeling seen.
Between not knowing where to start and meeting someone who can guide them.
Between hoping for a future and taking the first real step towards one.

The PMF Youth Expo 2026 will connect young people to career guidance, skills development, entrepreneurship support, learnership pathways, employment conversations and practical next steps.

Your donation will help us cover the practical things that make the Expo possible — food and drinks, stationery, printing, youth resource packs, goodie bags, prizes, signage, transport support, data/airtime support, photography/videography and on-the-day logistics.

So here is the ask:
Skip one dinner out.
Donate that amount instead.
Help change a life.

The Expo takes place on 15–16 June 2026 at Grace Bible Church, Protea Glen Ext 11.

The Pumeza Mngambi Foundation has Section 18A approval, which means qualifying donations can receive a Section 18A tax receipt.

Because sometimes the cost of one evening out can become the beginning of someone else’s future.
