📊 Ready to lead in the world of data?

The TFG Data Science and Leadership Fellowship is now open for young South Africans pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science or a related field.

Successful applicants will receive funding for tuition, living and meal allowances, equipment, and textbooks, along with coaching and mentoring support, plus a visit to TFG's Head Office in Cape Town to see data science in action across the business. 💼📈

To be considered, applicants should: ✔️ Be accepted for coursework or research in a 1st or 2nd year MSc (or related field) at a leading South African university ✔️ Be a South African citizen ✔️ Maintain a high level of academic excellence ✔️ Demonstrate innovation, creativity, and leadership potential

From self-funded struggle to paying it forward 🎓

When Ayanda Mashimbye started her law degree, she was funding it all on her own — no bursary, no safety net. The financial pressure made it hard to even focus on her studies.

Then in her second year, everything changed. The Valterra Community Bursary, administered by Tshikululu Social Investments, gave her the freedom to focus fully on her LLB. But StudyTrust gave her more than funding — mentorship, workshops, Winter Seminars, and a community that believed in her.

That support carried her through one of the hardest moments of her life, when she lost her sister during her studies. StudyTrust stood by her until she crossed the finish line.

Today, Ayanda is paying it forward as a Peer Mentor and Campus Representative — and pursuing her LLM in Procedural Law, determined to build a legal career rooted in justice and compassion for the vulnerable.

Her story is proof of what's possible when a student doesn't have to choose between surviving and studying. 💙
