Theme: Africa Unbound: A Tapestry of Rhythm, Culture, Unity & Pride
An event expressing the idea of a liberated Africa.

As MAY marks Africa Month and Africa Liberation Day, this becomes a time not only for celebration, but also for reflection and a deeper embrace of Africa and its people.

The phrase “Africa Unbound” speaks to breaking away from limitations and celebrating the continent in its full potential. It stands in contrast to the Africa shaped by colonialism, dispossession, and the silencing of indigenous voices — systems that sought to fragment identities and suppress cultural expression.

At the heart of the event is a spirit of togetherness, where diversity is celebrated as strength through the spirit of Pan-Africanism. Through music, poetry, dance, fashion, and visual art, we honour artists as storytellers and cultural custodians who continue to preserve and celebrate African identity.
