About the Summit

Join us on 24th of August 2023, this Women’s Month for the Annual Women Participation in Democracy Summit. This event aims to promote gender equality by addressing challenges hindering the progress of women and girls. We will bring together government, private sector, non-profits, and civil society to establish effective grassroots programs.

Promoting Inclusive Mobility

Recent statistics reveal significant gender disparities in transportation access. Only 21.8% of females held driver’s licenses in 2020 compared to 40.1% of males, with black African women having the lowest percentage. Addressing these disparities by providing access to opportunities through enhancing the mobility, independence and participation of women is essential for driving inclusivity and equality.

The Annual Women Participation in Democracy Summit 2023 under the theme:

SOLIDARITY IS GOLDEN 🤎

A system is group of interacting or interrelated entities that form a unified whole. A system is delineated by its spatial and temporal boundaries, surrounded and influenced by its environment, described by its structure and purpose and expressed in its functioning. Wiki

“Love is the crowning grace of humanity, the holiest right of the soul, the golden thread which binds us to duty and truth, the redeeming principle that chiefly reconciles the heart to life, and is prophetic of eternal good.”

The SUMMIT on the 9th of August 2023 was necessary and equally liberating. We brought, both men and women together to discuss and unpack pressing matters which affects the effective participation of women, youth, people with disabilities and marginalized groups in the Democracy of South Africa.

The outcome is clear, we need CHANGE and it all comes down to PURPOSE!

1. What is South Africa’s National Purpose?
2. What is your Purpose?
3. How do you align your Purpose to the National Purpose and make South Africa a CHAMPION NATION? 🇿🇦Champion South Africa Ashraf Garda

Communities need to organize themselves better and it starts with simple conversations that will foster CHANGE, ensure everyone an EQUAL seat at the table and make sure no one is left behind.

AUgust is Women’s month and Women are the Golden element, essential to making the system work. We cannot succeed as a country or as communities if half of it’s population is left behind or excluded from participating equally. “As we continue to celebrate the remarkable around us. We acknowledge the women at the forefront of change – the women driving the future of sustainability, inspiring our industry and beyond.”

We need to become EPIC LEADERS that will serve the mission of becoming a Champion Nation. Ethical, Purpose Driven, Impact Conscious and Committed to Serve Leaders Thuli Madonsela Foundation - THUMA

Let’s see beyond the gold dust of AU-gust and see the GOLDEN opportunities that will UNITE us in CHANGE.

Thank you to everyone who participated in The Annual Women Participation in Democracy Summit 2023.

Yours in Change!
