Ilima Community Learning Centre

Ilima Community Learning Centre Ilima Community School is a organisation founded in the heart of community development and upliftment. The doors opened in March 2017 with 12 children.

The school has since gained incredible momentum and is now the primary schooling facility to 15 children. Ilima is a truly South African word that cannot be matched or translated directly. It encompasses a full community embodiment of planting and harvesting of crops. The concept behind this is that all the different parts of the community come together in the yielding of the crops with the aim of

providing for the whole community. There couldn't be a better phrase to encapsulate the essence of this school. Throughout the process it has been evident that the land on which the school was started merely facilitated this coming together of the community - each member coming forward offering of their time and services to collectively reap the rewards of a better future for our country.
