The African Pride Games 2025 successfully took place over a five-week period, celebrating diversity, inclusion, and unity through sport. Hosted by the Phuti Lekoloane Foundation, the tournament brought together athletes from various backgrounds to compete in football, netball, and basketball under the theme “Beyond Proud.”
The event showcased not only sporting excellence but also the spirit of community, equality, and resilience across all participating teams.

The African Pride Games 2025 continued to strengthen its position as Africa’s leading inclusive multi-sport event. The games provided a safe platform for LGBTI+ athletes and allies to showcase their talents while fostering unity and mutual respect across communities.
Over five weeks, hundreds of athletes and supporters gathered at the Rabie Ridge Stadium to celebrate sport as a tool for social change. Each weekend featured competitive matches and community engagement activities, reinforcing the foundation’s mission of promoting equality in sports.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the community, vendors, fans, teams, for their unwavering support, enthusiasm, and encouragement throughout the tournament. To the Referees for their diligent work throughout the tournament. Your presence and energy played a vital role in making the African Pride Games 2025 a resounding success.
