Women in South Africa are being killed, r***d and violated — even in spaces where they should feel safe. The discovery of nine women’s bodies in Ekurhuleni has once again exposed the devastating reality of GBV and femicide.
We are tired of mourning women after they are gone. We need prevention, accountability, justice and real action.
Women should be able to walk, run, work, love, live and return home safely.
We are not safe in our own homes. We are not safe in our streets. We deserve better.
