Jozi_My_Jozi

Jozi_My_Jozi We aim to inspire the people of Jozi, Mzansi and worldwide to help bring hope and instil pride back into our city.

To do this we needed to create a movement for the people... by the people... inspired by our constitution.

Good work doesn’t start and end on Mandela Day. 😅

Today, we headed to Soweto with Altron Digital Business to hand over 67 blankets, bringing comfort to ooGogo and nooMkhulu from Sisonke Senior Citizen’s Club.

The spirit of Mandela Day is enduring: we show up for each other as best we can, no matter the time or date.

Still thinking about the incredible food, music and energy from the last Main Street Sundays event?

Jozi isn’t a place you watch from afar or from behind a tinted car window; it’s a city you experience with your feet on the ground. The magic happens when we show up for one another.

Missed out? Don’t stress – the movement is growing every single day. Stay tuned to our socials for our next inner-city activation!

Keep connected: https://www.jozimyjozi.com/

Why should YOU come back to the city centre? Because a thriving inner city means a thriving Johannesburg for everyone.

When you come back to Joburg and buy from a local trader or support a street artist, you aren’t just having fun; you’re helping drive the economic engine of our city. You’re making dark corners bright again, and turning sidewalks into places of dignity and pride.

Stepping into the city is how we rebuild it together. Woza sikulindile. We are waiting for you.

Boikanyo Thamae, winner of the 702 Jozi My Jozi Walk The Talk scavenger hunt with Joe the Chat GPT competition, took us along for her grand prize weekend.

From Friday 7 August to Sunday 9 August 2026, 🇿🇦 B enjoyed a curated weekend courtesy of Johannesburg In Your Pocket and Jozi My Jozi.

The competition, held as part of the 702 Jozi My Jozi Walk the Talk, offered a prize valued at approximately R20 000.

Here’s how she spent it

We’ll be extending the love for Jozi’s streets again soon – keep an eye on the link in our bio.

The beauty of Johannesburg isn’t just in its architecture or the skyline; it’s in the eyes, the smiles and the spirit of the people of Jozi, too.

On Sunday, we saw generations meeting on the pavement. We saw strangers sharing laughs over local food, kids playing freely and women leading with strength and joy.

When we open our streets to the people, Jozi shines like nowhere else on earth.

Tag someone who made your Sunday special! Asihlangane khona!

One thing is for sure: Jozi people do NOT play when it comes to drip. Ifashion!

Main Street Sundays was a full-on runway. From iconic vintage threads to local proudly South African streetwear, bucket hats and bold statements, the fashion was 10/10 minus nothing.

Jozi style is loud, proud and purely Jozi. Sidla u kotini this side! Drop your image in the comments if your fit was camera-ready on Sunday.

Jozi, you showed UP and showed OUT.

Main Street was bursting with energy, smiles and pure love for our city this past Women’s Day. From the vibrant stalls to the bustling pavements, thousands of us came together to reclaim our space and celebrate what makes the Johannesburg CBD so special.

Thank you to every trader, artist, family and friend who made Main Street Sundays an absolute movie. This is what reclaiming our city looks like, block by block!
