Dear CPF Member,

You have been invited by Discovery to a webinar for psychologists on
internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT).

"During this hour-long webinar, we and our digital therapeutics (DTx) partner, SilverCloud, will tell you about all the available courses and we’ll demonstrate the platform.

"We understand that the prevalence of mental heath conditions, and in particular depression, is on the rise. We also know that your waiting lists and patient lists are growing.

"There have been rapid advances globally in the use of technology to support high-quality mental health management. This is why we launched the first scheme-funded digital therapeutics (DTx) in South Africa in 2023 as a solution to the dramatically increased need for evidence-based, accessible tools for mental health care."

What the webinar will cover

An overview of our mental health benefits including iCBT and how it is covered.
A demonstration of the SilverCloud platform (our digital therapeutics partner).
Details about SilverCloud’s digital mental health courses.
A discussion with Dr Derek Richards (SilverCloud’s chief science officer and head of research at Amwell). He will:
Share findings on how iCBT can be used as an adjunct to ongoing psychotherapy.
Tell us how iCBT can be used as a control tool for waiting lists.
Answer any questions.
