Avodah community organisation Women and girls of ethnic minorities face multiple forms of oppression, which further reduces their power and choice. ( Big ups to those who could)

They are at increased risk of violence and face barriers to accessing support. No one wants divorce however it happens and when it happens no one anticipates the amount of pain that comes with it hence most end up in depression or worse committing su***de. A large number of people never fully recover from divorce hence you will hear people say so and so was never the same after the divorce. Some t

heir characters change all together and begin to do things that they never would have thought they would do just ease the pain or get up to face day by day. Now that it has happened, Let's help each other pick up the pieces and start over. Don't look/ take yourself as a failure, this is another chapter that's about to begin in this journey called life. Having gone through this process myself I know without a doubt that you cannot go through it by yourself.

Gender-based violence is violence directed against a person because of that person's gender or violence that affects persons of a particular gender disproportionately.

Violence against women is understood as a violation of human rights and a form of discrimination against women and shall mean all acts of gender-based violence that result in, or are likely to result in

Domestic violence is a form of abuse used to harm or control others. Different forms of abuse include: physical, emotional, sexual, reproductive, financial, or digital.

Although victims of domestic abuse can be of any gender, race, age, or sexual orientation, violence is most common in women and among women and men of colour.

In addition, the chances of experiencing abuse almost doubles for bisexual, gay, and le***an adults all around the world.

Abuse occurs when a domestic partner wants to control, physically harm, or have power over their partner.
In addition to a desire for control, abusive behavior can also result from exposure to being abused themselves, history of witnessing domestic violence, social and emotional isolation, absence of healthy role models and relationships, and a lack of emotional and nonviolent social skills.
