🦜 SCOUTING IN ACTION: SERVING WITH PURPOSE

Today, our Harmelia Gardens Air Scouts swapped their usual Scout activities for a different kind of adventure — volunteering at Brainy Birds. ❤️

Led by Patrol Leader Jess, together with Kieran, Noah, Kyran, Gen, Leeora and Ethan, the Scouts rolled up their sleeves and got to work — cleaning cages and aviaries, preparing food, feeding the birds and helping wherever they were needed.

This wasn’t just a visit. They came to volunteer. 💪🦜

Scouting is not only about learning skills and going on adventures. It’s also about service, responsibility and giving back to the community. ⚜️

A huge thank you to Brainy Birds, a non-profit organisation, for welcoming our Scouts and giving them the opportunity to learn, serve and spend time with these incredible birds.

If you would like to volunteer, help with feeding and aviary care, support their work, or find out about adopting a bird, please contact Brainy Birds directly. 🦜❤️

Small acts of service can make a big difference.

Well done, PL Jess, Kieran, Noah, Kyran, Gen, Leeora and Ethan! 👏⚜️

Beyond the uniform. Beyond the badges. This is Scouting. ⚜️💙

For her community service, Patrol Leader Jess chose to spend time helping at a home for people with disabilities — a project she chose because she wanted to give back, help people who need extra assistance, and make a meaningful difference.

Jess was joined by fellow Scouts Kieran, Noah, Kyran and Tyler, who came together to lend a hand, assist with everyday activities and, most importantly, spend meaningful time with the residents.

Because leadership isn’t always about being in front.

Sometimes it’s about kneeling down to help, walking beside someone, listening, and simply being there.

For Jess and her fellow Scouts, this was more than completing a Scout activity. It was an opportunity to serve with compassion and experience what giving back to the community truly means.

Small acts. Real connections. A lasting impact.

This is service. This is Scouting. ⚜️💙
