This Mandela Day (July 18, 2025), Sawubona ZA and Earth Bonds in partnership with Pet Community Outreach to built homes of warmth and hope. Together, we crafted interlocking stabilised soil bricks to create cosy shelters for rescued and abandoned cats—ensuring they have the safe, loving spaces they deserve. 🙌

A massive thank you to Carrim Hardware and Schlageter Institute SA for generously sponsoring the building supplies. And heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to support our Mandela Day mission—your presence and passion are the heart of our impact.

Let’s continue Mandela’s legacy of compassion and community—because every act of service matters. 💜

On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Charl Pretorius from Kwalata Game Lodge to our Cat Café site — and what an inspiring day it was! 🐱🧱☀️

As part of our Mandela Day 2025 initiative, Charl joined us to learn more about our mission: building a warm and cozy home for rescued and foster cats using ISSB (Interlocking Stabilised Soil Blocks). Not only did he dive into the stories of our feline friends, but he also got hands-on and made his very own ISSB block! 💪🐾

The day was filled with learning, laughter, and a shared passion for creating sustainable change — for animals and people alike.

A huge thank you to Charl and Kwalata Game Lodge for your interest and support. This project wouldn’t be possible without the powerful partnership between Sawubona ZA, Pet Community Outreach, and Earth Bonds.
