Growth rarely happens all at once.

Sometimes it looks like laughter after a long day.
Sometimes it looks like sitting together and working through a problem step by step.

At Beats and Books, these are the moments where confidence begins to grow — when a student realizes they understand something they once struggled with, and when someone is there to celebrate that breakthrough.

Education here is more than academics. It’s mentorship, encouragement, and the steady reminder that every child carries potential waiting to be discovered.

At Beats and Books, we have the privilege of seeing women who show up for children, families, and communities with unwavering compassion. They remind us that real change begins with one person choosing to care.

That's why we're celebrating the StrongHer Award nominations.

Do you know a woman in Kouga who quietly serves others, uplifts vulnerable people, and creates lasting hope? There is still time to honour her story.

The StrongHer Award recognises women whose leadership, kindness, and resilience are strengthening communities across Kouga. The winner will also have the opportunity to share her story internationally through our international partners from the City of Birmingham, Alabama, and connect with mentors who can help grow her impact.
