YOUTH FOUNDATION literally stands for:

INANDA - Which is the isiZulu translated meaning for: Pleasant Place, used to name a South African township located eastern of the KwaZulu Natal Province, approximately 24km inland from the eThekwini metropolitan city of Durban. The township is amongst the poorest, underdeveloped and crime ridden locations in South Africa, covering a radius of about 26.81km2

, housing a dense population estimate of more than 158 619 mainly Zulu innate people, of which more than 70% are within the ages of 7 to 35 (commonly known as the youth) and are the iHEROS YOUTH FOUNDATION’s focal point. HEALTH - Not merely the absence of disease or infirmity but also the state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. EDUCATION - A compulsory right and system by which knowledge, skill, values, beliefs and habits are transferred from one generation to the other. RECREATION - Activities of leisure or fun but which are an essential element of human biology and psychology. OPPORTUNITIES - A chance for advancement, progress or profit. SPORTS - Competitive physical activity which through participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and skill while providing entertainment to participants and in some cases spectators. YOUTH - The maturity stage between childhood and adulthood. FOUNDATION - THE LOWEST AND SUPPORTING LAYER OF A STRUCTURE. The organisation logo is a sun, which symbolises life for all living organisms a new day, hope, light and fun. The organisational colours green and yellow also represent life, growth and light. The iHEROS YOUTH FOUNDATION logo is a solidarity message of hope for a better future that the organisation aims to pass to all its members, patrons and communities at large by acting as a response to bridging the gap between the youth, their socio needs and any challenges that stand between them and their potential to succeed.
