In a KICP collaboration with youth@WORK, 10 newly qualified teachers were recently placed in four Mandeni schools. The NQTs completed a two-day onboarding programme, after which school principals and mentors met to discuss the programme’s value and objectives. We were joined by the acting Circuit Manager, Mr D.S. Mdlalose, who welcomed the NQTs to the teaching profession.

The KICP Autumn Summits were a huge success across our Central, Midlands, and North hubs! 🙌.

We hosted student teachers, education assistants, and newly qualified teachers who explored topics like social-emotional learning, stress management, and the future of AI in teaching and learning.

From Neurodiversity (Dyscalculia) to Inquiry-Based Learning, KICP levelled up pre- and in-service teachers.

Collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity were highlights of every summit — and we were inspired by the incredible new generation of teachers. 🌱✨

A new year, new faces, and exciting new beginnings for KICP!

This year has marked an expansion into three hubs: Midlands, North, and Central. Our Central Hub remains at the heart of our work in Inanda, while we continue building strong partnerships to support quality education.

We’re proud to welcome our new student teachers, newly qualified teachers, and education assistants in the Midlands and North Hubs. Their energy and commitment are already making a meaningful impact in classrooms.

At KICP, we believe supporting teachers is key to transforming education. Here’s to a year of growth, collaboration, and impact!

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our student teacher Nothando Molefe. Our hearts are with the family, friends and all those who knew and love her during this difficult time.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
