Imyembezi ZikaMama Foundation

Imyembezi ZikaMama Foundation Inyembezi ZikaMama (A Mother’s Tears That Became Strength) is a foundation inspired by my journey as a single mother of 5.

We support mothers facing hardship, lack of support, and emotional pain, reminding them that tears can become strength.

WE ARE STILL HERE. WE ARE NOT GIVING UP.👣📌

Some days are quiet.
Some days are hard.
Some days it feels like no one sees the work we are doing.

But even in the quiet… Inyembezi Zikamama Foundation keeps moving.

Every Friday afternoon our dance crew practises.
Every Friday afternoon, our Gwijo boys sing their hearts out.
Young people choose practice over the streets.
They choose discipline over drugs.
They choose purpose over trouble.

And that alone is a victory. ❤️

We may not have fancy equipment.
We may not have sponsors yet.
We may not have a laptop or big funding.

But what we DO have is:
🔥 passion
🔥 talent
🔥 heart
🔥 and young people who refuse to give up

This foundation was not built on money.
It was built on love, tears, sacrifice and hope.

And we will continue ,step by step, until our community sees the change.

If you believe in youth development…
If you believe in second chances…
If you believe in building a safer community…

Walk this journey with us.

Donate.
Share our page.
Sponsor equipment.
Or simply send words of encouragement.

Because when you support one child…
you change a whole future. 🌱

Turning pain into purpose. Turning tears into strength.

We are kindly reaching out to our community for support.
Our foundation is in need of a laptop to assist with essential administrative work. If you have a laptop you no longer use and would like to donate it, or one you are willing to sell on a flexible payment arrangement, we would truly appreciate your support.
Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue serving our community with dignity.

GWIJO IS MORE THAN A SONG

Gwijo is not noise, it is a voice.
A voice of unity, strength, and resilience.

When our youth sing gwijo, they are not just practising rhythm and harmony. They are learning discipline, teamwork, confidence, and pride in who they are. Gwijo teaches young people to stand together, to breathe as one, and to carry each other through sound.

This is culture.
This is healing.
This is leadership being shaped through voice and movement.

At Inyembezi Zikamama Foundation, we use gwijo to connect our children to their roots while preparing them to face the future with courage and dignity. Every stomp, every clap, every chant carries history, identity, and hope.

We are not just training a group.
we are building strong voices for tomorrow.

FOUNDER’S MESSAGE

INYEMBEZI ZIKAMAMA FOUNDATION

Some journeys are not loud.
Some visions are built in silence, prayer, tears, and perseverance.

Inyembezi Zikamama Foundation was born from my own struggles, losses, and challenges but also from the love for our children, single mothers and pain for what our communities are facing. It was created because too many young people are growing without guidance, without safe spaces, and without someone who truly believes in them.

There are days when the work feels heavy. Days when support is quiet and the road feels lonely. But even then, the purpose remains strong. Because this foundation is not about popularity, it is about impact.

Every practice attended, every child who shows up, every parent who believes in us, and every small step forward reminds us why we started. We are not just teaching dance or gwijo, we are teaching discipline, confidence, identity, and hope.

Even in the quiet seasons, we choose to continue.
Because seeds grow underground before they rise.
Because one child empowered can change a family.
And one community united can change a future.

Inyembezi Zikamama Foundation is still standing. Still believing. Still building, with faith, resilience, and love.

To every child, parent, and supporter: thank you for walking this journey with us. The vision is alive, and the work continues.

With a grateful heart and unwavering purpose,
Roslyn Uithaler
