New Learning Brief: Food Security & Nutrition

Did you know that 1 in 4 South Africans don’t have enough food? Hunger and malnutrition affect health, education and livelihoods every day.

Through the Social Employment Fund (SEF), communities are finding solutions:
- Growing food in community and backyard gardens;
- Learning sustainable farming practices like agroecology and aquaponics;
- Building small businesses and market opportunities; and
- Sharing nutritious food with families, schools, and those in need.
