mizamo Resource Centre is a not-for-profit company operating from the township of Imizamo Yethu in Hout Bay, Cape Town. Imizamo Resource Centre exists to serve the youth of Imizamo Yethu. Imizamo Yethu is a community that is rife with poverty, drugs, teenage pregnancy, unemployment, school dropouts and Alcohol abuse. The youth in this community need a place they can go to access real opportunitie
s to improve their lives. They need guidance and support to make the best of the opportunities they receive. Imizamo Resource Centre was founded to provide real opportunities; access to tertiary education, job opportunities, training and self-development opportunities, leadership skills and mentorship. An alternative to the life of drugs, teenage pregnancy and unemployment. The youth can visit IRC to access these opportunities so they can rise above their circumstances and change their lives. Through the generosity and kindness of individuals and companies, IRC is able to help as many deserving youth reach for their dreams.
