Hopetown Hospice

Hopetown Hospice A group of dedicated people in a small Karoo town in the Northern Cape, South Africa who are passionate about helping those who need it most.

Provides homebased medical and social care in the Thembelihle area. We have 25 caregivers as well as peer educators it's and Counsellor's. Chronic medication is brought to the patients doorstep. Regular campaigns are held to emphasize various health aspects.

Thanks to overseas donations we were able to change these peoples day to day living by providing them with much needed wheelchairs. The best gift in life is giving . Happy Easter!

Parliamentary representatives visited Hopetown Hospice today. A most insightful talk was given on the workings of the different houses, and how the public can have access through petitions, in starting the law- making process .

Hopetown Hospice took part in a breast Cancer awareness campaign at the Hopetown Facility this morning. Sr Wiid demonstrated breast examination and a moments silence was held to honour those who have succomed to the disease. This event was organized by the Hopetown Police, one of our strong stakeholder partners.

Promoting healthy lifestyles and the importance of exercise, Hopetown Hospice assisted Kudos Fun Run today. While some members took part in the 5 and 8 km run, others promoted health information and tested blood pressures and blood sugars. The event was a big success with athletes coming from as far as de Aar. We hope to grow this event to take place annually. Thank you Kudos!

Ons ' Liefdadigheidswinkel' is goed op dreef. Dit het ontstaan sodat ons selfonderhoudend kan wees en sodoende geld vir kospakkies kan genereer. Die meeste klere wat ons ontvang word aan behoeftiges gegee en 'n Klein persentasie word verkoop.
As enigiemand klere, beddegoed , of enigiets kan skenk sal dit opreg wardeer word. Ons kantore is langs Oranjerivier Vleisverspreiders digby GWK.
