The BMF Dignity Run, will be held in commemoration of Youth Day, and aims to empower young people; especially girls by promoting dignity, health, and equal opportunity. Rooted in the spirit of Youth Day, which honors the courage and resilience of young people in shaping a better future, this initiative seeks to address one of the often-overlooked barriers to education and confidence: access to basic hygiene.
Through the Dignity run, the Boledi Mafogo Foundation (BMF) raises awareness about menstrual health and the challenges many young girls face due to limited access to sanitary products. By mobilizing communities, partners, and supporters, the event drives the “Adopt a Girl” initiative, ensuring that vulnerable girls receive essential hygiene products and are able to attend school with confidence and dignity.
Beyond raising resources, the Dignity Run creates a platform for open conversations around youth development, gender equality, and self-worth. It encourages young people to take pride in their identities, advocate for their needs, and actively participate in building healthier, more inclusive communities.
