Hoedspruit AnimaL Outreach Hoedspruit AnimaL Outreach uplifts the lives of dogs in the rural communities around Hoedspruit

Hoedspruit, South Africa’s wildlife haven, is surrounded by impoverished, rural communities, that have no access to government veterinary facilities for domestic animals. Since 2016, HALO (Hoedspruit AnimaL Outreach) has worked together with the local community leaders to improve the mental and physical health of domestic animals. Seven communities, The Willows, LeBoeng, Moraba, The Oaks, Tswenyan

Another successful steri run this week! Next to 17 dogs we got our first EVER cat on the table for steri.

A huge thank you to the team, Gift, Young Ronny, Vicky Jean Mc Gee, Ethiel and Rushman (and Karabo Moeng who was off to study for exams this week but came back especially to learn about the cat sterilisation. It was a great successful 3 days 🌟☘️

Mommy Joy (previously Bruno) is proving to be a great mom, feeding her ever hungry litter of 10 pups around the clock. Lily and Bella were surrendered to HALO this morning. Scared and skinny, another result of an unwanted litter of pups. All females of the house have been signed up for urgent sterilisation so we can break the cycle. In the meantime we will fatten these girls up and shower them with love for hopefully a new loving family soon 🤞🏻

Remember Kholofelo, who was in such terrible condition with mange and wounds all over body? This beautiful girl has recovered completely ans is so loved by her new owner. Now she is back in camp for her steri. Just in time as she was already on heat. No babies for this sweetheart at least!
