Transfrontier Africa

Transfrontier Africa offers an amazing opportunity to experience a conservation project in the Greater Kruger Park, South Africa. Stay with us in our bush camp in the Balule Nature reserve, which is a 'big 5' environment, and get involved in a variety of conservation activities to contribute to the wildlife management plan for the reserve.

🌿 *Where the Bush Is Our Classroom*

A weekend at Koru Camp is more than camping. It is learning, exploring, teamwork and building a deeper connection with the natural world. 🐾

From FGASA workshops to game drives, tracks, birds and unforgettable Big Five sightings, every experience helps our young leaders grow in knowledge, confidence and respect for wildlife.

These are the experiences that help shape tomorrow’s wildlife guardians. ❀️

Celebrating a First for the Black Mambas πŸŽ“πŸŒ
A new chapter in our partnership with *Transfrontier Africa* begins with a remarkable achievement.

Congratulations to Naledi H. Malungane, the first Black Mamba to receive the GMFER FGASA Scholarship, following her successful completion of FGASA Level 1.

The scholarship forms part of GMFER's commitment under our new MOU with Transfrontier Africa, supporting promising Black Mambas as they develop their professional skills and knowledge in conservation.

Through the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA), conservation professionals can build technical competence, ethical standards and career pathways within the nature guiding sector.

Naledi's achievement is more than a personal milestone.
It is a step forward for the Black Mambas and the future of conservation leadership.

Congratulations, Naledi. We are proud to support your journey. πŸ‘πŸΎ

GMFER Γ— TRANSFRONTIER AFRICA
A Partnership for Conservation and Community

GMFER is pleased and privileged to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding with Transfrontier Africa (TA), establishing a framework of mutual support and collaboration across our conservation programs.

A key focus of this partnership is Mambas in the Park, GMFER's program developed in collaboration with Transfrontier Africa and its The Black Mambas. Together, we will continue creating opportunities for the Mambas and their families to connect with nature, experience the Greater Kruger landscape and strengthen their role as conservation ambassadors.

As part of this broader partnership, GMFER will also provide a GMFER FGASA Scholarship, supporting Black Mamba Anti-Poaching Rangers who pursue professional development through the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) and pass FGASA Level 1.

This is about more than supporting a program.

It is about supporting the people behind conservation.

We are proud to stand alongside Transfrontier Africa and the Black Mambas, and look forward to growing this partnership and the opportunities it creates for conservation, community and the next generation of conservation leaders.
