Meet the Interim National Leadership of UBM

The Umkhonto Business Movement (UBM) proudly presents its Interim National Leadership a collective entrusted with the solemn responsibility to safeguard the integrity of our movement and propel it toward a future defined by stability, growth, and principled governance.

This leadership does not rise by convenience, but by mandate, by duty, and by an unwavering commitment to restore organizational discipline and renew the strategic direction of UBM at a critical moment in our national journey.

As custodians of this movement, the Interim Leadership will focus on:

Rebuilding institutional credibility through transparent and accountable decision-making.

Driving socio-economic empowerment for our members and the communities we serve.

Strengthening organizational unity to prepare UBM for the transformative work ahead.

Positioning the movement as a key player in South Africa’s economic landscape, rooted in integrity and guided by the highest ethical standards.

Reviving internal structures to ensure efficiency, cohesion, and readiness for the LGE 2026 horizon and beyond.

UBM enters this new chapter with clarity: our mission is not to occupy positions, but to build a solid, people-centred movement that stands firm in purpose and fearless in ex*****on. The Interim Leadership accepts this responsibility with humility, conviction, and the determination to act in the best interest of the movement and the nation.

This is a season of rebuilding, refocusing, and reclaiming the spirit of service. UBM moves forward united, disciplined, and driven by the shared belief that progress is not an accident, but a product of leadership anchored in integrity.

Giving back to our future leaders! 🎓

In KwaDukuza under the Ilembe region, we had the privilege of donating school pants to needy learners, ensuring they step into their education with confidence and dignity.

Last week, we also visited our first school alongside the UBM Youth League, and today, we continued our mission by supporting another school. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and we remain committed to uplifting our communities.

Together, we build a brighter future! 💚🖤

In the face of challenges, our community stands united! 💧

While the Uthukela Municipality workers' strike continues, local business owners have come together to support Estcourt with water and repairs to the damaged water line.

Though the road hasn’t been easy, we remain hopeful that the town will have water by tomorrow afternoon. This collaboration highlights the strength and resilience of our community.

A special thank you to these incredible businesses for stepping up:
- Semuhle Enterprise
- Mageza and Sons
- Eskort Beacon Factory
- Bluerock Quarry
- UBM - Umkhonto Business Movement
