We are so proud of these two amazing ladies!
Thoko Shelembe and Sithembile Magwaza have been selected by DGMT to be part of the DGMT Innovation Fellowship this year. They start in July and will be participating in a number of coaching sessions and immersion groups to guide them into thinking and problem solving as leaders to contribute to what Singakwenza needs going forwards. We are excited to see how they benefit from this amazing growth opportunity.

It was such a stunning morning at the Scents of Serenity fundraiser today. Speakers, Nicola Aylward and Linda Smallbones brought a beautiful combination of wisdom, warmth, experience and practical encouragement, giving the guests a multitude of ways to find calm in the chaos of life.
Our grateful thanks go to everyone who helped to make today such a success:
to Nicola and Linda for sharing their valuable time and knowledge;
to Happy and the team at Garlingtons;
to dōTERRA Essential Oils South Africa for their sponsorship of essential oil rollers;
to the amazing sponsors of prizes for lucky draws, including B.U Skin & Beauty, Eric Muller Hairdressing, Soul sense, Portia B Studio, and Renée's Health Shop;
and to everyone who purchased a ticket.

2 days. 35 swimmers. 328 miles swum. R365,000 raised (and counting!).
What an absolutely epic weekend! Our phenomenal swimmers took on 8 and 16 miles at the Oceans 8 Charity Swim to raise funds for our new parenting program that we will be launching this year. It was a weekend of banter, camaraderie, encouragement, exhaustion and elation, and the sun came out, the wind stayed away and the ocean was teeming with fish. Our top 16 Mile fundraiser was Jarred Visser, bringing in an amazing R34,142 and our top 8 Mile fundraiser was Jacqui Cameron, who raised a whopping R68,447!!! We couldn't be more grateful to all of our incredible swimmers and their unbelievably generous donors. The funds raised will make a significant difference to our program and give so many more little ones a better chance at a brighter future.

We are also deeply grateful to the fantastic sponsors, the Oceans 8 committee, the staff from the Invitational Charities, and of course our own Singakwenza team for everything that went into making this weekend such a huge success. We are already looking forward to 2027!

This activity is a great way for children to practice holding two concepts in their minds at the same time. They have to find the same colour lid as the circle on the card PLUS find the correct shape drawn on both the lid and the circle (we use colours from magazines for our circles). Using one base board with a group of children enables peer correction to happen, so the practitioner doesn't always need to supervise this activity.

What a night!

The Singakwenza Padel FUN-draiser was full of colour, energy and good spirits, with participants in bright colours bringing such a great vibe to the courts. There were delicious snacks, lots of laughs and, yes, even some decent padel along the way!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, played, cheered and supported the evening.
We are also so grateful to our generous sponsors for helping make the event such a success: to Mr Kajee for his fantastic donation; to Safire Insurance Company Ltd for their sponsorship towards the cost of the courts and padel hire; to Andrew from VCC for coordinating all the players and keeping track of the scoring; to prize sponsors, The Cure House and Pannar Seeds; and to Wedgewood Nougat for their prize hamper for the raffle.

Thank you for showing up for Singakwenza and helping us keep play, learning and community at the heart of what we do.
