This is what you call a success story! 😆❤️

Patrick standing with his family for the first time in 5 years after being confined to a wheelchair. The emotions were high today, with a few tears shed and memories made in Mpopomeni that will last a lifetime. 🙏

Patrick, this is only the beginning! We’ll see you again in 2 weeks, hopefully taking those next steps walker-free! 🫡❤️

Joining hands with the incredible ladies from Midlands Hospice to help those who need it most.

Having eyes and ears in communities across KZN helps us at Rejuvenate SA identify people who desperately need a helping hand. But we can’t do it alone.

Our community workers, fellow charities and the incredible people of KZN have all played a massive role in helping us reach the people we have.

Our little Mvelo isn’t so little anymore ❤️

Today we popped in to see Mvelo while he’s on school holiday and check in on how things are going. We were also so proud to see an amazing school report from him.

But we noticed something else… his running leg wasn’t looking too healthy.

And honestly, we don’t know how bad it is that we’ve found his leg in this state… but we know exactly how buggered it is! 😂

And you know what? That actually makes us pretty happy.

It’s scratched, it’s taken a beating, and it’s showing the signs of a kid being a kid. And that’s exactly what we wanted.

We didn’t give Mvelo this leg to sit safely in a cupboard. We gave it to him so he could run, play soccer, play cricket, chase his friends and simply be a kid.

Yes, the blade will eventually need replacing. But if he’s worn it out by making memories, then we think we’ve done something right. ❤️

Because every scratch tells a story — and Mvelo’s story is just getting started.

Come behind the scenes as we get Patrick ready for his very first set of legs! 😃🙏🦿

After an incredible and gruelling ABSA Cape Epic in 2025, where our two directors, Luvan Cass and Travis Warwick-Oliver, took on one of the toughest mountain-bike races in the world, something truly special came from the journey.

Through the incredible generosity of a remarkable family, Rejuvenate SA was able to secure a donation that is now helping shape Patrick’s future. ❤️

This is more than a set of legs. This is the beginning of a whole new chapter. 🦿❤️

Today I got to meet little Aphiwe ❤️

Aphiwe is 12 years old and, sadly, has never received a proper diagnosis for her condition. Her parents simply describe her as having been “born this way.”

It’s incredibly difficult to see how often we come across children in situations like this, where parents have been left without answers, guidance or the support they need from the healthcare system.

Aphiwe is in serious need of a specialised wheelchair that will provide the support she needs for her head and little body, while giving her greater comfort, mobility and dignity.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to live life as comfortably and independently as possible.

Together, we can make this happen for Aphiwe. 🙏❤️

Patrick, seeing that smile on your face after standing for the first time in 5 years today is exactly why we do what we do. ❤️

A year of negotiations, proposals, hard work and dedication from the entire Rejuvenate SA team, together with the incredible team at Grobbelaar Cass inc, has made this moment possible.

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Patrick, and we can’t wait to see where the next few weeks take you as you continue to build your strength and confidence.
