The constant need we are facing is food. Baby formula and food items.
We know everyone is battling in their own way. The inflation we face in South Africa is intense. So many families simply can not put food on the table.

This has led to a decision NFC is making. All good quality items donated (if not in an immediate need) will be sold online. That money will go into our account and enable us to go monthly and purchase basic food items for the families we care for.

This is a small step in what we hope will become a thriving thrift store... allowing us freedom to buy food items.

It's complicated. It shouldn't be. No child should be living like this. But this case is different, raw and ugly. For this time we are creating a trust relationship with the children so they are not terrified of anyone in authority. And also their mom... who is just as shattered.

We were able to give them a Christmas tree! Oh the absolute joy and amazement. Some toys and of course some food items.

This is a long long journey. It will take patience and time.
But NCF is there. We do not give up.... and we ask you not to either.

The system is broken. And for now... our hands are tied.
This morning we went down to bless these little ones with some toys, clothing and some snacks. They were so excited and couldn't belive their eyes!!!
And with heavy hearts we had to walk away leave them there.
But please continue to pray with us for their safety. This will be a long journey and we are doing our best to build up some trust here... which will lead to these little ones leading a better life than currently.

20 more sleeps... and it will be Christmas. While we wake up in our warm homes with family, love and joy... please take a second to remember our little ones who due to red tape are still stuck in a dark hole of dispare.

We would like to ensure they have some toys to wake up to on Christmas morning as well as some basic food items.

We cannot do this without the help of you. Every little bit helps and it is so appreciated.

Little girl Jane is 3 years old
Little boy John is 6 years old
Young man Peter is 13 years old

They have less than nothing... please help us change this for Christmas 🎄

So a little update! Our team returned to the premises on friday morning with social workers and of course our trusted RAVEN SECURITY SOLUTIONS!!!

ZERO changes made!!

More evidence was collected and the social worker was able to compile a file of facts to present to their manager. We will keep in contact with them this following week and continue to insist on this case taking priority.

On a positive note an abused dog (burnt and beaten)was removed and is already getting the medical treatment and love he deserves.

The municipality counsel will also go in as well so we are making progress its just slow.... so much red tape.

We got a call... and tonight our hearts are heavy. Our team went down to a Durban suburb this morning after a tip off of 2 neglected children. What we found was nothing short of horrific.
3 innocent children trapped in an abusive and poverty stricken environment. We are still piecing the puzzle pieces and finding out as much information as we can. We will be teaming up with other social services this week to do an evacuation of these little ones and hopefully allow them to heal in a safe space.

and we need your help! NCF is appealing to the public for donations. We have focused on a few single parent households which were devastated by the floods. These single mums are having to face rebuilding their homes and it's a daunting prospect. YOU CAN HELP!!!
Food items, household items (anything to assist them to create a home again), and of course we have our banking details posted (please reference with flood moms)
