🐾 **VACCINATION, TICK & FLEA AND DEWORMING DRIVE IN NOMNWANO, ZWELIHLE!** 🐾
After last year’s devastating distemper outbreak, one of our board members, Dr Guy Regnard, suggested we focus on a small area and work towards creating herd immunity by ensuring animals in a specific community are vaccinated and healthy. We chose Nomnwano as it is a small, mostly enclosed area where many animals remain unvaccinated. Sadly, unvaccinated animals are often the ones that carry and spread disease, with puppies and kittens being especially vulnerable. 💔🐶🐱
As always, many people made these free treatments possible. 🙏
A huge thank you to Dr Esther from Village Vet Clinic Eastcliff. She was an absolute star, vaccinating, treating ticks and fleas, and deworming **19 dogs and 3 cats** ⭐ (the 4th cat, Suzie, was treated at Bergview Veterinary Hospital when she was sterilised).
Thank you Virbac Rsa for the generous donation of **50 vaccines** 💉 (kindly organised by Mareli from . Every pet also received a rabies vaccination.
A special thank you to Corinne from EberVet Vetshops at the Station Mall for arranging tick and flea treatments at a reduced price and donating the deworming tablets for the dogs.

We would also like to thank our regular donors who make projects like this possible. As we complete one area, we will continue maintaining health standards there while slowly expanding into neighbouring communities. 🌍
**Our next vaccination drive will take place in the same area on 21 March.**
To be fully protected, animals need **two vaccinations one month apart**, followed by **annual boosters**. Puppies and kittens require **three vaccinations**. 💉💉💉
