*Update: BRUNO* 🐾❤️
Bruno is home from the vet and in his new home tonight! 🙏
It will take a few weeks for him to heal fully but he will have someone home with him all the time so this will be a good new situation for Bruno.✨
He will be dewormed in about 2 days time and in about a week or so once he's fully recovered from the tick bite fever, and it's out of the bloodstream, he will get a tick n flea treatment. 🐾He can't get this right now as his immune system needs time.
❤️ And because of your kindness and donations, Bruno will also be able to get vaccinated in about 3-4weeks and pending the quote we get for sterilisation, we could get him sterilised in a few weeks time too - once he's fully recovered.🙏❤️🐶🐾
I will reach out if anything more is needed. He's a youngish boy, so it'll be safe to have this done for him once he's well.
For now we want him to be safe and warm and fed and heal fully ❤️ before he has to go through anything more.

I spoke to the vet and Bruno has eaten! which is good news 🙏

*URGENT APPEAL TO HELP BRUNO:* 🙏🐾💔
This Lab x boy who we've been trying to locate for over a week now in Henley, was found badly injured, bleeding and unable to walk this morning (Wed 11 Feb).
We rushed him to the vet where they sedated and assessed him and aside from a gaping wound on his left front leg which goes all the way through the leg, he sadly, also has tick bite fever. 😢
He's been put on a drip and has been hospitalized.
Also discovered that his owner died late last year and so he's been wandering ever since, foraging for food and shelter. He's been going to a property on the Avenue occasionally, where they've tried to feed him when they can, but sleeping in the bushes has resulted in ticks and fleas and now, tick bite fever.😞
Despite being in severe pain this morning when we had to fish him out of the bushes, which caused him more pain unfortunately, he remained gentle and forgiving. He didn't attempt to bite even while crying in pain.
We have an offer of a home for him with a pensioner couple who lost their old dog recently. They're happy to offer Bruno a home but we need help with his vet bill please.🙏
There are no available funds for his treatment but there was also no way we couldn't help him. He deserves a chance to wake up in a warm, soft bed and a bowl of food and fresh water.
