A LOVE LETTER TO MIA πΎ β€οΈ
MIA, MIA, MIA!!!! Where are you roaming today? You are such a free spirit who loves everyone and everyone loves you β€οΈ BUT...we worry about you being on the street, up n down, visiting everyone, looking for yummy snacks and attention and a bed to nap on for a few hours and then off you go again to your home.
Yes, we all know you're not homeless, although your street antics makes everyone think you are.
Over the 9 years I've known you, I've witnessed and observed your seasons. When your family's at home all day, you're home, when they're at work and school, you're out looking for company. Your property is large and not easy or cheap to wall or fence although your family have done what they could. And now that the family home is no longer one home, you're searching for more company, more attention and I worry even more about you, daily.
2 weeks ago we found you after you went missing for 3 weeks! New people came and you followed them out of the area across the railway to a whole other area. We did posters and posts and asked everyone to share. We all feared the worst. π’..and then miraculously, an alert lady and her daughter spotted you, far from home and brought you back. And you know, although you're not my doggy, I was so happy to know you were safe I drove quickly to meet her and when I saw you!!! OMW...my heart was so relieved and overwhelmed. Finally, you were safe and we got you home π π β€οΈ πΎ
But, now, after that huge scare, your family and all of us who love you, know that we must find you a home where you'll be safely kept occupied and within your property. We know that with hoomans who are mostly home during the day or with doggy siblings you can play with, you'll be more content to stay home - where the walls are sufficient to keep you safe and contained. We've seen you happy when your people are home and attentive and you are the lady of the house β€οΈ
So...I am doing my best to find you that home that will just know when they meet you that you are their girl. β€οΈ People who will have no questions about why the family can't be helped with fencing, because we, who know you and the area, know that's been done and tried - and no judgement about why you can't stay where you are. We've all been through this and despite that you're the mascot of our community, we want you to be safe and spend your remaining few years not wandering, not missing, not injured, stolen, abused or found dead. We just want you to be safe. π
From the depths of my heart, I want to just take you home, but practically, being the rescuer that I am, I can't take in more than I already have in my pack. π
So...I am committed to finding you the most amazing home, with high walls, a family who will dote on you, who will talk to you - because you understand every word - and somewhere out of the current area and community you're in so you don't go cruising again. π
I've done it before - doggies who roamed and one who even lost a leg from roaming and being injured, who, once they found their perfect hoomans and home, they never tried to roam again. π You are fit, active, healthy again after a recent health scare and you're a sprightly as a pup when you see people you love!
And this in no way, infers anything negative about the family and home you grew up in. You've lived to the wonderful age of 10 with them and despite your antics, they've kept you alive, fed, cared for and they love you....But, they've made the difficult but responsible decision, given all the circumstances, to let you go to a home where your last few years will be just as wonderful and beautiful and special as you are - to them - and to all of us. π πΎ
So, if you've read this far, and you can understand fully what and why Mia needs a new forever home and if you can give Mia that - please reach out to me and we can arrange a meet n greet with our darling Mia. Every day she roams is a worry so please get in touch soon. I know you're out there, reading this. β€οΈ
With so much love and hope for Mia xx
