We hit our firebreaks 🔥 target 🎉 🎉 🎉 WE DID IT GUYS! Thank you so much for your help and support. Any excess now will go towards Bright Eyes vet bills ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
Our magnificent Bright Eyes even had his own song which is so poignant now ( listen on video!❤️‍🔥) thank you to our incredible 20 firebreak sponsors for helping us secure the lions safety this wildfire season.. we are immensely grateful & I’m sure Brighty helped us from above 🌈 we miss you madly beautiful boy. ONLY 9 MORE NEEDED 🙏🏼🦁🔥 CEO Traci’s GG FIREBREAK CHALLENGE 🔥🦁
If we don’t ask for help, we don’t receive help… so today, we’re asking! ❤️
Every winter at GG Conservation, we have the important job of creating firebreaks to protect our 63 lions from devastating wildfires that could come from surrounding areas.
This year, we have a quicker and far less labour-intensive solution: hiring a grader to create our firebreaks efficiently and effectively.
The grader costs ZAR1,000 per hour, plus diesel — and we need 8 hours to get the job done.
🎯 OUR CHALLENGE:
We need 20 incredible supporters to each contribute US$35.
That will give us the funding we need to put the grader to work for 8 hours, creating those vital firebreaks and helping keep our lions safe.
🔥 20 PEOPLE × $35 = 8 HOURS OF FIREBREAK PROTECTION 🔥
And if we raise more than our target? Even better! Every additional contribution means more hours on the grader, more firebreaks and an even greater level of protection for our sanctuary.
So here’s our challenge:
Can we find 20 people who will stand up for GG and say, “I’m in”? 🦁
This isn't about giving a huge amount. It's about 20 people each making one small contribution that, together, creates something BIG.
Our lions can't ask for help.
So we have to ask for them. ❤️
