Greater Harrismith — let’s move from 😩complaining😩 to building 💪🏘️
Real change starts when ordinary people decide they’ve had enough—and choose to act together. That’s why HIT exists 🤝: Harrismith, Intabazwe, and Tshiame, united as one community voice. HIT is a non-profitable and non-political organization—we’re focused on community action and better service delivery, not party affiliations.
Our mission is simple: revive the pride, order, and integrity of our neighbourhoods by holding local governance accountable and pushing for reliable service delivery. We all feel it when:
❌ Potholes 🕳️ turn every trip into a hazard
❌ Streetlights 💡 stay off night after night
❌ Ongoing electrical problems ⚡ leave homes and businesses in the dark
❌ Water shortages 💧 disrupt daily life
❌ Sewage spills 🚰 make our streets and public spaces unsafe and unpleasant
❌ Litter and refuse 🗑️ pile up without being cleaned or removed, leading to illegal dumping and burning of refuse
❌ Unkept parks and graveyards 🌳 show disrespect and neglect of our shared spaces
❌ Illegal building 🏗️ damages infrastructure and creates safety risks
If you care about Greater Harrismith, join the action 📢. Add your voice, share your concerns, and help us drive practical solutions —street by street, block by block. You can help by:
✅ Becoming a member of HIT
✅ Attending member’s meetings
✅ Reporting and documenting issues in your area
✅ Spreading awareness
✅ Joining local clean-ups
✅ Volunteering your time and skills
✅ Donating towards community projects
✅ Together, we can stop the slide and build a town that works for everyone 🎯.
